Very happy with all the food we ordered today! it's from the same restaurant group as shang cafe and hunan impression so expectation was high! the menu isn't as extensive but all the dishes we ordered were pretty good! stand outs were: -pork liver with chinese chives, super flavorful chives and very tender pork liver! perfect combo -sour papaya fish soup, it def opens up your appetite and it's a very light yet full of flavor soup! give you a ton of fish slices in there too service was good and the speed of getting your dishes was pretty fast my ONLY complaint is nothing was spicy lol

I'm very excited about the news that one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area just opened another location in Cupertino! I took my friends there to check out this new spot. Unfortunately, they only accept reservations for parties of 8 or more. The place was busy on a Wednesday night, and we waited a little over 30 minutes to be seated. So if you go during rush hours, you'll most likely need to put your name on the waitlist. The restaurant has a modern design, and the staff was friendly. We ordered several dishes, and we really enjoyed everything. The signature grilled fish was very flavorful, the chicken broth with wild fungi was soothing, the fried rice was light with perfect texture, and it paired very well with the well-seasoned shredded potato. The fried pork rib was crispy, and I loved the mint touch on top!

This place was highly recommended by my coworkers so we stopped by for a quick meal during lunch hours. It was difficult to find parking as there are signs everywhere with restrictions so make sure to check all the signage. It was pretty busy around 12pm but we were able to get seated right away. This isn't your ordinary Chinese food restaurant; this place specializes in Yunnan style, which means lots of spices and herbs. For 4, we ordered: - Fried rice with green pepper, boletus & beef: 4/5 - Deep fried pork ribs w/tomato sauce: 5/5 - Yunnan small pot w/noodles: 4.5/5 - Sautéed beef & cilantro: 3/5 - Stir fried Chinese flowering cabbage: 5/5 My spice tolerance level is pretty low so I was only able to enjoy half of these dishes without suffering. I did like that each item didn't lack in seasoning but actually had very rich flavors.
